Empowering Domestic Violence Survivors

Working Toward a Brighter Future
Dr. Martha Wydra Founder and Survivor

Martha Wydra, Founder

Welcome

I am the mother of four extraordinary children who have, unfortunately, endured the profound repercussions of domestic violence. I am not merely a survivor; I am a warrior, steadfastly devoted to not only overcoming this ordeal but also to assisting others trapped in similar situations. My mission is to create a nurturing network that empowers survivors to rebuild their lives, utilizing the remnants left by the perpetrator. I cordially invite you to join us in fostering a resilient and compassionate community that provides support and a pathway to healing for those who have been affected by domestic violence. Together, we can inspire meaningful change and lay the foundation for a brighter future.

Services Needed To Strengthen Our Mission

The Wings to Freedom Foundation is committed to breaking the cycle of abuse and domestic violence by providing essential support to victims, but we cannot achieve this alone. We urgently need dedicated volunteers to join us in this critical mission. From regular volunteers who can offer their time and compassion, to lawyers and paralegals who can assist with the legal complexities that victims often face, every contribution makes a difference. We also need psychological and psychiatric professionals to help victims heal from the trauma they’ve endured, as well as doctors who can address their physical health needs. Case managers and social workers willing to volunteer are vital to guiding victims through their recovery journey. Volunteers to support children, who are often the silent victims in abusive situations, are equally crucial. Additionally, financial donations are imperative to sustain and expand our services, ensuring that every person who turns to us for help receives the care, advocacy, and resources they need to rebuild their lives. Together, we can create a future free from abuse and provide hope for those who need it most.
