I’m Marivi Betancourt, a dedicated healthcare professional, emergency room nurse, and passionate advocate for public safety and community well-being. With over 15 years of experience working in Level 1 trauma centers, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of violence on individuals and families. Beyond my work in healthcare, I’ve been deeply involved in initiatives that support survivors, strengthen victim services, and promote access to essential resources. Now, as Director of Public Relations, I am committed to amplifying our foundation’s mission, raising awareness, and building strong connections that drive meaningful change.
My Story
Coming from a family devoted to public service, I’ve always understood the sacrifices and dedication it takes to protect and uplift a community. My experience in emergency medicine and case management has given me a unique perspective on the urgent need for advocacy, prevention, and survivor support. I have worked closely with victims of trauma, ensuring they receive the care and resources they need to heal.
In my role as Director of Public Relations, I am focused on sharing our foundation’s story, engaging with the media, and fostering relationships that expand our reach. By elevating awareness, strengthening partnerships, and championing our mission, I hope to create a greater impact for those in need. My passion lies in ensuring that every survivor has a voice, every story is heard, and every individual has access to the support they deserve.
